About Bracketstars
Here to provide a service to our car show enthusiasts and our community. Welcome to the team!

Bracketstars Mission: To bring people together who have a love of cars and hot rodding while preserving the past and creating exciting events for the future!
Bracketstars is run and directed by Carl Thorsett. Based out of Enumclaw WA. The name Bracketstars was the the result of our drag racing roots. Bracket racing is the most popular form of drag racing. More people participate in bracket racing style drag racing each year than any other type of automobile racing in the world. The reason is that anyone with any car can fit into a class and go racing. Bracketstars originally was created as a website to feature and support local bracket racers.
In 2008 the idea of Bracketstars was born. The theory was to create an online contest for racers all across the country to come together in one place to post their performances and get featured. Tell stories and feature pictures from around the drag racing culture. The stars of drag racing on a local level. In Feb 2009 Bracketstars.com went live online and we started to promote our program to the racers. After the 2009 season was over it was apparent that Bracketstars had a much bigger future than originally thought. With our love of cars and people who enjoy the same sport we decided to expand into the car show world.
In 2010 Bracketstars hosted and produced 22 days of car shows in four months May - August. Our biggest event of the summer was The Hot Rods and Harleys Fathers Day Car show and Swap Meet June 19th - 20th. With a open door policy to all years makes and models we enjoyed bringing together all types of cars and motorcycles and working with great people.
About Carl Thorsett. Carl Thorsett is the manager and creator of Bracketstars. Carl has been drag racing at local events since 1996. He campaigns 2 race cars - the 1971 Chevrolet Nova and 1995 Rear engine dragster. Graduated from the Automotive technology program at Green River Community College Auburn WA with an Associates of Applied Science in automotive repair. Crewed on Bernie Plourds Top Alchohol Dragster in 2000 and 2001. Volunteers for the Green River Community College Automotive Advisory Board current President. Married in 2005 to wife Jillian and has a career in the automotive field in a successful local GM Dealership. With a strong desire to do more with his love of cars and car people he leads you with confidence and enthusiasm.
Our goal is to build a program that is open to everyone and grow. We want to provide a service to you the hot rod enthusiast through our events and member system. We strive to be a part of the future of automobile enthusiast and produce world class events. As our program grows we want to take you along with us and have you be a part of the Bracketstars family.
